Red Rocks is an icon attraction in the Denver area. While walking the trail, I learned that Colorado means “red” so it is fitting that these red rocks are icons of the area. The wonder of this area is how it stands out compared to the other landscapes that surround it. Traditional greens and browns and, all of sudden, these large red boulders surround you. It is very cool and a must see if visiting the Denver area!
The Red Rocks Amphitheatre is an icon as well. The 10,000 seating outdoor entertainment venue is one-of-a-kind! On a non-concert Saturday morning, it was filled with people exploring the venue and working out!
There was no fee for the hike or exploring the amphitheatre.
