We visited Steamboat Springs for a 3rd straight year around the Christmas holiday. We were spoiled this year as Steamboat received the most December snow in over a decade! We took advantage!
With all the snow, nearly all of the mountain was open and I was able to ski Morningside Park on the backside of the mountain. It quickly became my favorite part of the resort and I cannot wait to go back!
Here’s the recap!
Day One
- Drove 3 hours from our home to the Meadows Lot
- Afternoon windy ski
- Apres at Gondola Pub and Grill with friends
- Dinner at Besame (highly recommend; loved it last year and again this year!)
Day Two
- Bitterly cold, bluebird ski day
- Hot tub happy hour
- Strolled through several souvenir shops along Lincoln Avenue (aka main street)
- Burgers at Back Door Grill (highly recommend for burger night; voted “Best of the Boat” and they did not disappoint)
Day Three
- Perfect ski day
- Apres at Gondola Pub and Grill with friends (again!!)
- Dinner at Mambo Italiano (not going to recommend; wanted to like it yet the vibe and food weren’t great)
Day Four
- Packed up and headed home!
- Another great weekend getaway in Steamboat Springs!
