The Old Quarry Trail is located in the heart of South Table Mountain Park and runs across the length of the park. As its name implies, there is a steep incline on the “table legs” but once you reach the “top of the table”, it levels off and you can see for miles!
The trail is more like a country gravel road making it great for gravel cyclists in addition to hikers. Luckily, there is room for both on this trail. I also love the numerous other trails you can explore from here as well as several access points in the Golden and West Denver metro areas.
I’ve been fortunate to hike along the Old Quarry Trail twice; once coming up from Golden and the other time from the Camp George West trailhead. Both are great and I would suggest picking a location that is most convenient to you. Happy hiking!
