The Flatirons Loop at Chautauqua is the perfect trail for a short hike or great to add onto one of the many other trails from the park. This trail has it all in a short 2.1 miles! Four different terrains in one!
It starts off with a prairie feel with the open space and wide gravel trail for the first half mile or so. The next section is like a forest with trees lining above you like a canopy. Next, you will feel like a rock climber as you hit the peak vertical of this loop. Finally, you hit the picnic table area where you’ll take a dirt road back to the trailhead.
Enjoy this trail and all that Boulder has to offer!
