Evergreen Mountain is part of the Alderfer / Three Sisters Park within the JeffCo Open Space trail system. Evergreen Mountain sits at 8,536 ft – a sweet spot when you want to climb a mountain yet don’t need that to be at 14,000 feet!
I love a loop so I chose to go up the West Trail, via Ranch View, and back down the East Trail. They were pretty similar yet the East Trail was a bit flatter at the bottom. The trail system is open to dogs and mountain bikers alike. I passed about 10-15 bikers and we were both able to continue without slowing down – which was a definite plus!
