Lucky you for carving out time for a girls weekend! Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minnesota is the perfect destination for this celebration.
After spending the Christmas holiday here the year before, I was excited once again to visit in the fall – a magical time in northern Minnesota. We didn’t do as many activities as we normally would given the Covid pandemic and wanting to keep our distance from others. Luckily, there is a lot to do outside, spaced-out from people. Here is a rundown of what we did!
Friday Afternoon + Evening
- Happy Hour on the beach while we waited for our cabin to open
- Dinner at the Northwoods Pub, located on the property
- Bubbly to celebrates multiple decades of friendship
Saturday
- Morning stroll around the property + shopping at the boutiques at the lodge
- Afternoon hike
- Happy Hour at Madden’s
- Hot tub relaxation
- Dinner ordered in at the lodge (we had reservations at Char Craft Streaks but were tired from a big day so we opted to order in)
Sunday
- Early morning run around the other properties before heading out
After not seeing each other for months, this time together was just what we needed! In non-pandemic times, we would consider spending time at the Glaciers Water Spa and exploring downtown Nisswa – so much to do in a small area!
