[Hike] Roxborough State Park

Roxborough State Park is located in the Southwest corner of the Denver Metro Area. The park officially includes fifteen (15) miles of trails throughout the park boundaries. They range from easy to moderate to strenuous, allowing something for everyone!

I’m lucky to call Roxborough “home” and I am a frequent visitor! I wrote about different trail adventures here and here. My goal on this adventure was to complete the entire trail system and I came very close by clocking in at 12+ miles! I rode by bike to (and from) the park and knew from the start that doing the outer ring was all I could accomplish during this adventure.

I was most excited to explore the undiscovered trails on this hike which included Carpenter Spur, Power Line and Elk Valley on the backside of the park. They did not disappoint! After being on “busy” trails for the first half, I didn’t encounter another person and felt like I was truly in the wilderness!
