An added bonus to any great route is the ability to add variation to that route! Deer Creek Canyon is a great example where you can take Oehlmann Park Road just past the Pleasant Park School to cut off a few miles and avoid the busy roads in Conifer.
Let me make it clear that Oehlmann Park Road is NOT easier, and, if fact, is actually harder with several punchy climbs followed by curvy descents all while riding by some cool homesteads on this road. You’ll come out at the intersection of S Turkey Creek Road where you’ll turn right and continue back around until you reach S Deer Creek Canyon Road and head back to your car parked at Wadsworth (or wherever your end destination might be!)
