The buildings in downtown Denver light up in style during the holiday season! With several in-person events canceled due to the Covid pandemic, strolling down the streets of Denver is a great way to get in the holiday spirit (and get in some steps)!
We parked near the Civic Center Park and headed down the 16th street mall. Here’s was we covered on our tour:
- The first stop on our light tour was the Mile High Tree located on Weldon Street. Fun fact – it is the tallest digital tree in North America making it a stunner to look at!
- The 2nd stop was the Daniel & Fisher clock tower on Arapahoe with its ever changing light display. Be sure to spend a few minutes here to see the entire show!
- The 3rd stop was Union Station on Wynkoop which was lit up in red and had lights on the surrounding trees.
- The 4th stop was the Dairy Block Alley between Black and Wazee on 18th and 19th. The alley is super cool all of the time with trendy food + drink + shopping options, but the lights above take it up a notch! Given the food + drink available, this is a great place to stop for a cocktail or warm beverage!
- The 5th and final stop was back near where we park at the City and County Building which is an impressive building year round, the lights, once again, make it extra special to look at.
If walking isn’t your thing, you can take the free 16th street mall bus to get to these different places. Enjoy!
