A loop route is always preferred for several reasons; varied scenery, never bored of seeing the same thing twice, and more exploration! I constantly seek out ways to incorporate different paths to make a loop. Denver is spoiled by the large trail system within the South Suburban Parks and Recreation.
I ran this route on a balmy winter morning in late December! After a few inches of snow and cold temperatures, the trails were mostly clear yet I did encounter some packed snow where the sun hadn’t soaked in.
