Big Dry Creek Trail covers 11.3 miles from Stanley Lake in Arvada to Broomfield, Colorado. The trail runs at a diagonal through these suburban areas between Denver and Boulder. It connects with several other trail systems including the popular US 36 Trail.
I ran along the Big Dry Creek Trail on a sunny, Sunday Morning in March. Although not planned, I ran to the east which meant when I turned around, I had amazing views of the snow-covered mountains. This is definitely one of my favorite times to view the mountains in the front range; warm enough to explore while still viewing the snow which adds great contrast to the mountains!
