Standley Lake is a beloved area in Arvada, Colorado – just northwest of Denver. The park can be accessed by several large bike friendly roads including 86th Parkway and 72nd Avenue running horizontally and Kipling and Simms running vertically. The park does not allow for a complete circle around yet it has several spots where you can feel the water in a beach setting along with several picnic tables for a snack or lunch stop.
We visited Standley Lake on our very first bike ride in Colorado on a hot sunny morning. As with most miles in Colorado, you will most likely encounter a hill riding to the lake! We took it slow and cruised causally to the lake to enjoy the lake views with the mountains in the background!
