Don’t let the word “highway” scare you off from this ride. The “highway” has light traffic, a smooth surface and a wide shoulder – three things all cyclists love to have on the road! The scenery is awesome on this ride. You see the valley of Boulder to the east and the mountains to the west.
I actually drove down this stretch after hiking to Lake Isabelle and thought it was an awesome drive. I remember taking a mental note that I needed to ride my bike on this stretch of road! We did this section in combination with Boulder Canyon and Left Hand Canyon for an epic cycling day in Boulder!
