If you’re looking for a challenging road route from the southwest metro, do this route! This is also a perfect training route if you’re gearing up the Triple Bypass or Copper Triangle and need to add big climbing miles in your riding.
When we lived in Arvada, we rode up Lookout Mountain every weekend, but haven’t been back since we moved to the southwest metro where Lookout Mountain was so much further away! We decided to attempt this adventure on a beautiful autumn day after a summer of riding. Although tough and something we’ll save for once a season, it was a great adventure and test of our fitness!
