The Morrison Road bike loop provides a great amount of variety throughout the Southwest Metro area of Denver, Colorado! This has become a favorite route of ours!
Here’s a short breakdown of what you’ll explore on this ride.
- You will ride through Chatfield State Park along the designated bike lane (look out for hot air balloons), cruise along the C-470 bike trail which follows the highway with the same name, and climb out of Morrison…all in the first half of the ride!
- Take a rest stop either at Bear Creek Park or downtown Morrison.
- After the rest break, you’ll ride through my favorite section – the neighborhoods surrounding Red Rocks Country Club – with its winding roads, awesome views and red rocks everywhere!
- After passing by the Red Rocks, you’ll connect with Deer Creek Canyon Road and many other cyclists on this very popular section of road.
- The final stretch will be back through Chatfield State Park before the ride comes to an end!
