No matter which South Metro Denver suburb you leave in (or close to), a bike trail is in reach! The three city bike trails that make up this triangle include; South Platte River, C-470, and Cherry Creek!
We started this ride from our house south of the C-470 trail and, after cruising through Chatfield State Park, we took the C-470 trail east towards Parker. Keep our eyes open for the left hand turn under the C-470 highway which takes you north to the Cherry Creek Trail. You’ll encounter several trail neighborhood connections which can be tricky to avoid. You’ve been warned!
Cherry Creek State Park is a great spot to rest, if desired, or just keep rolling around the park and head northwest towards downtown Denver. The bike and pedestrian traffic picks up the closer you get to downtown so please slow down and enjoy the many covered bridges you’ll go under.
Downtown Denver is another great spot to rest, if desired, or just keep rolling on the last leg of the triangle along the South Platte River Trail. Once you’ve reached Chatfield State Park again, the triangle (and ride) are complete!
