Life On Two Feet

[Hike] Silver Run Trail

The Silver Run Trail located in the southwest corner of Red Lodge Montana. It is a 5 mile loop along the West Fork Rock Creek – walking 2.5 miles to the west and then 2.5 miles back east. The space between the west and east (or upper or lower) ranges from 20-30 feet with many connection “trails” throughout the length of the trail.

We woke up to rainy skies on the morning of this planned hike yet that did not deter us! We waited for a “break” in the rain and set out. The nice part was that this trail was covered by trees for the most part so when it rained (yes, it started to rain again) we didn’t get too wet! All in all, it had a very Pacific Northwest vibe to it – a nice break from the heat and sun I’m accustomed to in Colorado.
