Another great hiking destination in South Boulder, Colorado is Flatirons Vista. The trailhead is off of Hwy 93 making it easy to get to from Boulder, Denver, or Golden. This area is open and vast without much tree cover – making it ideal for a sunny, winter day but it could be quite hot in the summer months!
The trail, both North and South, is virtually flat, making it great for beginners or bringing guests from out of town! I loved looking at the mountains in the distance as I hiked west and got closer to them. I love a loop trail and the North and South make a great loop – just over 3.5 miles.
