The Chatfield Internal Trail is a popular trail in the Chatfield State Park! It connects several campgrounds, playgrounds, and the marina to each other within the park. The trail is flat making it available for everyone to use!
I visited this trail on an overcast mid-October morning where the changing colors were still visible and I soaked in the beauty as I made my way along the water. The fun thing about this trail is that it has some “choose your own adventure” parts to it where you can hike down to the beach and other times you can hop on the paved bike trail.
You can choose the distance that you prefer for your hike and circle back on the trail or the park road – lots of options here!
