The Carpenter Trail within Roxborough State Park is the longest and most challenging trail in the park system. It is 2.6 miles one way and has a decent elevation gain the entire way. There is very little shade on this trail so remember to apply your sunscreen before setting out!
I started this hike from the willow creek trailhead located just east of the visitor center for a short time before starting on the south rim trail and then made my way over to the carpenter peak trail.
