If you want to go on a road less traveled – get on a gravel bike. Gravel roads give you the opportunity to slow down, encounter less vehicle traffic, and see more of the countryside.
Boulder is known for its easy access to amazing mountain adventures yet it has plenty of fabulous front range [aka flat] riding as well!
We set out for our gravel ride from the Lefthand Canyon Trailhead in northeastern Boulder. We started our ride by taking the Lefthand Canyon Trail which turned out to be the most technical part of the entire ride. I was not prepared for this right off the bat! After exiting the trail, we followed several county roads as we weaved throughout this area. We passed several old buildings, a cool water tower and lots of other cyclists!
