The North Shore of Minnesota is a great girls trip destination in the Midwest. There are plenty of pit stops along the North Shore with a mix of trails, landmarks, food + drink. With every girls trip I always say that the ability to come together is the greatest gift and the travel is just a nice bonus and this weekend was no exception!
Here is a rundown of our what we did:
Thursday, October 14th
- Seven girls loaded into a Suburban and left the Twin Cities metro mid-afternoon
- Early dinner at Rustic Inn Cafe with a small gift shop inside
- Catch up over drinks in our cabin at Temperance Landing – part of Bluefin Bay
Friday, October 15th
- Hiked Lutsen Mountain Trail [3.2 miles]
- Winery Tour at North Shore Winery
- Hot tub Happy Hour at Bluefin Bay
- Dinner at Bluefin Grille
Saturday, October 16th
- Hiked Oberg Mountain [2.5 miles]
- Day in Grand Marais
- Lunch at Hungry Hippie Tacos
- Shopping at the small boutiques in town
- Donuts at World’s Best Donuts
- Walked out to Artist’s Point and the Grand Marais Lighthouse
- Happy Hour at Voyageur Brewery Company
- Pizza delivered for dinner from Coho Cafe & Bakery
Sunday, October 16th
- Seven girls loaded into a Suburban and left the North Shore mid-morning
- Duluth brunch stop at Dovetail Cafe and Marketplace
- Hugged once more and said our goodbyes 🙁
So many laughs, good talks and a few tears – I cannot wait for the next one!
