6 weeks out from Ironman 70.3 Boulder Triathlon

Six weeks out from the Ironman 70.3 Boulder Triathlon and I took my scheduled rest week. After this rest week, I’ll focus on three demanding weeks leading up to Boulder!

 

Monday is my normal rest day of the week and went out for an early morning walk before starting work for the day. Tuesday was an interval 30 minute spin. Wednesday I swam 1,400 yards. Thursday I did my interval run of 30 minutes. Friday morning was an optional swim and swam 1,600 yards for my recovery swim workout. Saturday my husband and I bike 35 miles around Lake Minnetonka – cycling through Wayzata and Excelsior – two of my favorite towns. It was tempting to stop with all of the wonderful smells but we continued on and said we’d be back again. It was a new route for us and most of it was great – we will try a different way of getting home next time though! Sunday I ran 5 miles and did 1,800 yards in the pool 🙁 It was another rainy day in Minneapolis and Open Swim was canceled.

  

Swim 3,000 yds + 1,800 yards non-open swim

Bike 30 min interval + 35 easy miles

Run 30 min interval, 5 miles
