Lost Canyon Open Space is a hiking trail system located in Castle Rock, Colorado.
I made my initial voyage to Lost Canyon a few weeks ago yet knew I’d return as soon as the final trails were open to the public.
Alas – all trails are open to the public and ready for you to explore. I started my hike with Rustler’s Ridge on the south side of the park, then did Bootlegger’s Loop between making my way to the Golden Eagle Loop.
Now that I’ve explored all of the trails, here’s my report:
Favorite | Bootlegger’s Loop | perfect mix of forest + cool rocky, canyon terrain
Least Favorite | Golden Eagle Loop | rocky, exposed terrain
Best Lookout Spot | Big Bear Hollow Lookout
