The Platte River Trail runs 28.5 miles along the South Platte River which flows through Denver and many of the neighboring cities. I think of it in two sections; the south section starting Confluence Park and the north section ending at Confluence Park! I rode about the south section here for you to check out!
Given my starting point of Olde Town Arvada, I take the Clear Creek Trail to the Platte River Trail which intersects the north sections between I-76 and Hwy 224. I headed south towards downtown Denver at the “end” of the north section and then headed north. Yes, I did this in reverse! This part of the trail shows you the train + industrial part of Denver. There is usually light traffic and very few streets making for a fun, continuous ride!
